Healthy Feeding Routines

Establishing a healthy feeding routine, especially if you’re incorporating treat training and enrichment activities is a priority. It’s easy to accidentally overfeed! Many food recommendations are too high ( to sell more product ) and little dogs need food divided into very small portions.

Start Here:

  1. Measure and track: Keep track of your dog’s intake until you understand what works best for them.
  2. No free feeding: Avoid leaving food out all day to encourage healthy eating habits.
  3. Use training and enrichment: For puppies and adolescents, meals can be incorporated into training and enrichment activities. Depending on your goals, this can replace all or part of their regular meals.
